Chuquimamani-Condori.
Prolific, multiplying aliases over the years, Chuquimamani-Condori might radiate some mystery. However, their frequent name changes shouldn't be read as a rush towards a cryptic anonymity; rather, this constant reinvention serves a total and visceral authenticity.
Chuquimamani-Condori is assuredly one of the most sincere artists currently operating in contemporary music, uncompromisingly inventing their own unique and radical aesthetics. Equally at ease meticulously crafting unexpected mash-ups or composing epic acoustic pieces, their influences know seemingly no boundary. They digest numerous strands of music ranging from traditional South-American music to honky tonk country, producing an art that is complex, complete, unclassifiable, irreducible and, above all, an inexhaustible source of infectious joy.
A celebration of life and its beauty.

Aya Suzuki, photographed by Takuya Isomura.
Aya Suzuki is a Japanese percussionist based in Brussels. Having picked up music at the age of six, she was a student of legendary marimba player Keiko Abe in Tokyo. She then went on to win multiple pretigious prizes with her virtuosic playing skills. Beyond sheer skill, her music is particularly playful and surprising. Later this year, she will be releasing her debut solo album on KRAAK records. Entitled Wing Seeds, it will blend a selection of her own compositions with some from her favorite composers. She will present some of these pieces for vibraphone and aluphone at Botanique prior to Chuquimamani-Condori's performance.
